YPS Support Green Philippines
Youth Progressive Society of Lopez participated in
the nationwide tree planting held on August 25, 2006 as part of the Green
Philippine Highway Program of the National Government. Spearheaded by the Department
of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), this massive effort aims to
promote ecological awareness among the people. It also hopes to create the
world record of Synchronized Nationwide tree planting.
Civic
Organization, Students and some Teachers of Lopez, Quezon joined the Local Government
unit and non-government units in planting trees along Maharlika Highway, as manifestation
of support to the said program.
